Dem Congresswoman Receives Eviction Notice For Failure To Pay Rent

Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D., Mich.) has been given an eviction notice at her apartment in Washington, D.C. for failure to pay her rent.

The Daily Caller was told about the notice by one of Lawrence’s neighbors, who saw the summons on August 2.

Lawrence is supposed to show up on August 8 in D.C. Superior Court for a hearing, according to the summons request.

The apartment building is in the growing and gentrifying Navy Yard neighborhood of southern Washington, D.C., just blocks from the House of Representatives.  More
