Rep. Gohmert: Supreme Court Should Be 'Embarrassed'

After the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on the Affordable Care Act yesterday, many critics publicly voiced their disapproval with the Court’s decision. Justice Antonin Scalia wrote a scathing criticism of his fellow Justices who voted in favor of the case, King v. Burwell, presidential candidates used their social media platforms and members of Congress took to public forums to express their disappointment.

Republican Rep. Louis Gohmert of Texas appeared on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show” shortly after the Court’s decision was made public. He was one of the harsher critics of the Justices, saying that the Court should be “embarrassed” by their actions.

“The Supreme Court has a lot to be embarrassed about. As a former judge and chief justice, I am extremely embarrassed for them. And unfortunately, when you’ve sold your soul, it’s kind of tough to even realize you should be embarrassed, but they should,” Gohmert said.  More
