Former top IT guy tells lawmakers he knew little of ObamaCare site's problems

The nation's onetime top IT guy finally appeared Wednesday to answer questions at a House hearing on the ObamaCare website launch -- and clammed up yet again when asked about the website's early security problems and complaints that an allegedly tyrannical bureaucrat forced the rollout in spite of warnings the site was not ready for prime time.

Todd Park, the former chief technology officer of the U.S., left House Republicans frustrated, but not surprised, when he declined to discuss charges that Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Marilyn Tavenner bullied beleaguered tech workers into rolling out healthcare.gov prematurely. 

Park acknowledged problems with the rollout, but also said he knows little about the site's well-chronicled security problems, including a massive hack that occurred months after it went live.

"What are you hiding, Mr. Park?" Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga., a physician and member of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, asked Park, who had been reluctant to tell lawmakers what he knew and when he knew it about the weeks before and after the botched introduction of the website. More
